There are several ways citizens can complain about the adverse effects of field burning. In the left column is a list of links you can email directly to various agencies.

Air Quality and Smoke Complaint line:

Ecology now has this toll free complaint line for complaints and comment regarding agricultural and open burning. If you see someone you suspect is burning illegally, or if you are being impacted by smoke, please call this number: 1-866-211-6284. Please state your name, telephone number, residing county and town, and the nature of your complaint, such as illegal burning or smoke intrusion. If you know the specific location, landowner, or specific source of smoke please leave a detail description. The Ecology department will only contact you if they need more information. Visit Washington State Ecology Department and Idaho Department of Environmental Quality websites for more information on outdoor burning.
